opossum – Wildlife Damage Management

A baby opossum (maybe 5-6 inches long) has taken up residency in the corner of my garage. He is maybe 5 or 6 inches long. He is huddled in the corner very near the exit, but won’t leave. We would prefer to avoid killing it. Is there an effective repellent that would make the location less attractive?

If the possum is truly alone and only 5-6 inches in body size, it’s probably an orphan. I’d suggest getting in touch with a local wildlife rehabilitator since at that size, they’re usually not self-sufficient yet. However, mother possums sometimes …
